First for in-flight food
Virgin Atlantic Airways veered towards alexandrapatrick for in-flight food photography.
Britain’s unofficial flag carrier, Virgin Atlantic, is well-known as an innovator and for providing an outstanding customer experience.
In the air, this means offering top quality food that looks and tastes great whether you’re sitting at the front or rear of the plane. So when they needed to give their food manual a lift, they turned to food photographer Duncan Callow.
Working with in-house food and beverage planning executives, an external food consultant and a development chef, Duncan was hired to show just how appealing Virgin’s in-flight food really is.
The manual is used for a variety of purposes, including to demonstrate to flight crew the correct way to plate and serve meals.
Commenting on the experience Duncan Callow said: “It was great fun to work with the people at Virgin. As you’d expect, they’re good communicators and keen to show off their products in the best possible light (literally!). A great deal of effort goes into every meal and I hope I’ve captured some of that in this set of images.”
