Karimix, new design

Karimix makes award-winning curry pastes, oriental sauces and chutneys etc. When they needed imagery to support a new-look at a major international food event, they turned to alexandrapatrick.

The International Food & Drink Event (IFE), which takes place every year in London, is the UK’s largest. Karimix is the Kent-based producer of curry pastes and sauces etc. and already has a global presence.

As an exhibitor at IFE they needed photography to support a new look for products that would be on display and later used online and in various printed material.

With only days to go, they turned to experienced food photographer Duncan Callow of alexandrapatrick to get the job done. Shooting jars featuring the newly created look at Oak Creative (Karimix’s design agency), Duncan was able to capture a set of images that was quickly turned into leaflets and brochures for use at IFE.

He commented: “Working to tight deadlines is always a challenge — especially when photographing items such as glass jars which are technically difficult to shoot. But working at Oak’s studio was great — within minutes of capturing the images we could see exactly how well they’d work.”
