The Globe & Rainbow, the secret is out!
Until now, the Globe & Rainbow has been one of Kent’s best kept secret’s. But with a brand new website and sparkling imagery the secret is out!
The Globe & Rainbow in Kilndown near Cranbrook is a traditional country pub with a difference. Its restaurant is fast developing a reputation for delivering high quality, locally sourced and beautifully presented food, all served in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
You won’t find prawn cocktails or chicken in a basket — instead be tempted by delights such as local scallops, rack of lamb, Carpaccio of tuna, homemade bread and a selection of scintillating desserts.
Co-owners Rachel Leadbitter and Neil Scott are passionate about delivering exemplary service and top quality food. Head chef Neil creates their menus based on seasonal produce: “Our food evolves with the seasons. For example, right now rhubarb is at its finest — so we put together a platter of pink rhubarb desserts which was just perfect for Valentine’s Day.”
Neil and Rachel are about to launch their website and wanted a set of images that do their food justice. So turning to experienced food photographer Duncan Callow of Alexandra Patrick turned out to be a perfect choice.
Rachel commented: “We like to do things right and to convey a quality feel. Duncan delivered a set of images that we’re really proud of and once they’re out on the web, the Globe & Rainbow secret will finally be out!”
