Photographer Duncan Callow has always enjoyed portrait work — he has an uncanny ability to make his subjects feel at ease. Whilst you won’t find shots of babies blowing bubbles or soft focus wannabe models in his portfolio, you will see images of relaxed happy people, comfortable in familiar surroundings.

Whether it’s kids cooking up a mess in the kitchen for an ad campaign or a close cropped eye shot for something a bit different, Duncan will always bring his professional but informal approach to the commission.

He commented: “We’ve had quite a bit of interest from families wanting shots of their kids in very natural, even candid poses. There’s a bit of a movement against the highly stylised and digitally altered images that have flooded the market in recent times. People are going back to basics, seeking photos that won’t age. I’m happy to take a more natural approach — the naked photographer!”
