Spending time outdoors has a way of restoring how we feel. Whether it’s a leisurely walk, a gentle jog or breezy cycle – movement outdoors can can shift our mindset. That’s the heart of Active Travel – it’s a school run on foot, the commute by bike, the quick trip to the shops without the car.
Active Travel Advocate
As an Active Travel advocate in Kent, I’ve seen first-hand how small changes can transform how we feel. I was invited by Kent County Council to take part in their campaign encouraging people across the county to walk, wheel or cycle more often.
We filmed in Folkestone, Kent close to the sea, on a hot sunny morning, surrounded by people simply getting on with their day. The message was clear: every step, pedal or roll counts.
